Description
This course will provide an overview of the how people access supports and services in a Coordinated Access system. This includes access models, staffing considerations, prevention, considerations for privacy and data sharing, and more. There are six courses within the Coordinated Access series. The System Access course is the fourth in the series and builds on information learned in the previous courses.
Learning Objectives
- Be able to identify and define the functions of “system access” in the context of Coordinated Access.
- Understand the different access point types and models, as well as approaches and options to identify, promote, and staff access points.
- Be aware of consent, data privacy and data sharing considerations, as well as prevention, diversion, rapid exit and navigation support approaches and where to find additional information, tools and resources.
- Assess community progress in implementing system access elements and begin to map your service system.
- Develop access and assessment policies and protocols and begin to develop a Coordinated Access Guide.
