About Our Webinars
Monthly Community of Practice webinars will provide communities, organizations, and front-line staff with a regular opportunity to debrief, consult, and learn from experts and peers in the delivery of Housing First and other best practices. Each session will last approximately one hour. Sessions will be facilitated by Wally Czech and Sam Tsemberis and feature a short presentation followed by Q&A, discussion and commentary. They will provide opportunities for updates, briefings, round table sharing, special case scenarios and problem solving in a collaborative peer involved manner. Communities, organizations and individuals are encouraged to contact us if they have a topic they would like to share in this format. All these sessions will be recorded and made available afterwards for anyone to view at any time.
By-Name Lists (BNL) and Coordinated Access systems (CA) are essential community strategies for ending homelessness. These monthly webinars will feature specific topics related to the development and implementation of these strategies. The webinars will last no longer than one hour and be made up of a presentation focused on various topics associated with BNL/CA. The webinars will not be interactive. In fact, some of them may even be pre-recorded but they will be an opportunity to tune in to learn in a quick, convenient, and helpful fashion. Topics will include BNL/CA 101, Governance, Access, Assessment, and more. The webinars will be led by Built for Zero Canada and TTA staff as well as other key partners. All webinar recordings will be made available in our archive below for later viewing.
Another monthly opportunity for learning and support for BNL/CA efforts will be monthly community of practice video conferences. Much like the HF COP webinars, these sessions will provide communities across Canada the opportunity to hear great information and then engage in discussion and ask questions about things they are both struggling and succeeding with. You will get the opportunity to hear from other communities and learn about their models, challenges, and victories. You will be able to have the expertise of CAEH staff and other experts to guide the conversation as well as offer insight and advice. These sessions will also be no longer than one hour, and recordings will be available for later viewing and can be found in our archive below.
